- Scavenger Hunt Staycation: Unique Ideas for a Scavenger Hunt

When you do a scavenger hunt in your house, you need to decide if you actually want the items brought back to you or if you just want the answer written down. I think it is more fun if you bring all the items. But, if you do it that way I just want to warn you that it could get messy.
Planner's Tip: When you do the indoor hunt, make sure that you give broader clues so everyone won't be fighting for the same item (for instance say something blue that you use to write instead of dad's favorite blue pen).
At a park you can do a couple of things. The best thing about a location like a park is that you have an area that is limited.
You can hide items in the park and give clues about where to find those items. Or you can have a sort of task related scavenger hunt. Both types are fun.

If you hide items you want to make sure that you bring enough items and lists for each team. For instance if you used the clue "something that you write with can be found where you eat" (the answer is a picnic table) and you had five teams, you would need to bring five clues and five pens or pencils. Of course you also want to make sure there is a picnic table at the park!
You can also just have a list of fun tasks to complete where the participants have to take pictures of them doing it.
For instance you can have a clue like, Take a picture sitting under a place that you usually eat (this could be a tree or a picnic table) . Your clues can be broad or specific based on the number of people that you have participating.
