Go to Western Union's home page. Click on the "Send Money" tab at the top of the page.

Select the state and country from which you are sending money from the drop-down boxes at the top of the page. Click on the circle labeled "Money in Minutes."

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the circle "I am a New Customer" then click "Continue" if you have never used Western Union online before. If you have, click on "I am a Returning Customer" and enter your user name and password in the boxes, then click "Continue." If you are a new customer, you will be directed to another page where you will enter your name, address, email address and date of birth. You will also create a user name and password and enter three security questions in case you forget your password in the future.

Click on the box indicating you have read Western Union's terms, then enter the security code at the bottom of the page. Click "Continue" when you are finished.

Enter the name, city and state of the person to whom you are sending money. Also enter the dollar amount. Click "Continue" when this information is correct.

Review your contact phone number on the next page. Click on any additional services you would like to include such as an audible message or a phone call indicating the person received the money.

Enter your credit card information. Click "Continue" once you have reviewed this information and it is correct.

Review all of the information regarding your transaction on the next page. Note the location of the Western Union where the money will be sent. You can change the location by clicking on the tab next to the location.

Click the "Continue" button to send the money. Print your receipt from the next page.
